With the Bronze Award in the Best Change Management Strategy/Initiative Award was awarded the National Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) at this year’s HR Awards Ceremony, held at the Athenaeum InterContinental Hotel on Wednesday, November 1 2017.
The distinction, in this important institution, was rewarded for the corporate reorganization program, which has been implemented by DESFA’s management since the end of 2016 to modernize its operational model based on the most up-to-date operating standards of the European Transmission System Operators (TSO).
The company’s HR Directorate has been responsible for the implementation of this initiative, setting at the epicenter the optimal deployment of DESFA’s resources and human capital on the basis of a more effective service of its new strategic objectives.
The award received on behalf of DESFA, its President and CEO, Mr. Sotirios Nikas, who stated “The evidence of good management in a company is dynamic leadership, commitment to innovation and teamwork, and the Change Management Strategy, for which the Awards Committee has given us a distinction. I would like to thank the Administrative Services Division Directorate and the HR Directorate to whom a great part of this distinction is due, as well as all the employees at DESFA. Thanks to their exceptional work, DESFA is entering into a new era with a strong perspective, as modern and extrovert European Operator, with a new organizational structure that responds effectively to its new corporate goals”.
HR Awards are designed to highlight and reward the best Human Capital Management initiatives, practices and policies. The evaluation of the applications for each category is carried out by the members of the Judging Committee, through an online evaluation system, which, this year, has been based on the model of the Olympic Games evaluation process.
